Milford Council Schedules Hearing On Storm Sewer Projects

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– The Milford city council Monday set February 26th as the date for a public hearing on plans and specifications for several storm sewer projects, including one just south of city hall; on “P” Avenue between seventh and eighth streets; and at the intersection of 10th street and “R” Avenue.

The council was informed of some conflicts and issues regarding right-of-way and an existing sidewalk that need to be resolved with the Iowa Department of Transportation before the Highway 71 sidewalk and lighting project can proceed.

The council took no action on a contract for architectural services for a new fire hall, saying they want the City Attorney to review it first.

The council also approved a 28E agreement for the Lakes Area Law Enforcement Employment Co-op with a change in language requested by the City Attorney.

The Milford city council also Monday approved various committee appointments and scheduled committee meetings to start working on the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
