Jackson Co. Rollover Injures Lakefield Woman

(Jackson, Mn.)– A single-vehicle rollover late Friday afternoon in Jackson county sent one person to the hospital.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Peggy Amendt of Lakefield was driving a 2002 Lincoln Continental on 400th Avenue a half-mile south of 800th Street in Rost Township when she lost control. The vehicle left the road and rolled, trapping Amendt who had to be extricated from the wreckage.

Amendt was taken by ambulance to the Jackson Medical Center and was transferred to another facility with undisclosed injuries.

Moderate to severe damage was reported to the vehicle.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Lakefield Fire Department, Lakefield Ambulance Service and the Minnesota State Patrol.

The mishap took place shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday.
