(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake city council has a new member.
The council Tuesday unanimously appointed Sara Frerichs to a seat left vacant when Jeff Thee resigned at the beginning of the year.
Frerich’s appointment is effective today (Wed., Jan. 10th).
Frerichs says she looks forward to serving on the council, adding there was no certain issue that resulted in her expressing an interest to serve.
Frerichs manages the Okoboji branch of Northwest Federal Savings Bank.
