(Okoboji)– A compact disc of Christmas music by lakes area musicians is about to hit store shelves.
“Christmas at Okoboji: Holiday Music by Okoboji Artists” will officially be unveiled to the public at a release party and benefit concert this coming Saturday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Lakes Art Center in Okoboji. Proceeds go to the Good Neighbor Fund.
Gary Lambert of Route 86 helped produce the c.d. He says it features local artists “BB and the Bullfrogs”, Karen Carr, Dallas Clark, Jesse Dagel, Damon Dotson with Spirit Lake 6th graders, Bob Floss and Jon Miller, the Good News Trio, Terry Klein, Clark Marshall and Bob Petit, Cherielynn Mason, Rick Pearson and Rock a la Carte featuring Wendy Gordy, Dave Rowley and Karina Van Wyhe.
Lambert says cd’s will be on sale at Saturday’s release party and will be available at several local businesses after that, including Buy Rite in Milford, the Market in Spirit Lake and the Lakes Art Center, to name a few.
Lambert says they’ve been working on the c.d. since June of this year.
