(Spirit Lake)– A local organization has been awarded a grant through a dental insurance company to help promote oral health.
Lakes Area Empowerment will share in 75-thousand dollars in grants the company is distributing this year to 14 public health projects in nine Iowa counties.
The money awarded to Lakes Area Empowerment will be used for in-home health and parent education programs.
