(Sibley)– The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a report of a burglary in progress it received early Tuesday has resulted in charges against two Worthington, Minnesota men.
Authorities say they were called to a farm on Highway nine in Osceola county shortly after 4:00 a.m.
Two men were arrested and taken into custody. They’re identified as 36-year-old Brad Mayefske and 45-year-old Scott Amundson…both of Worthington. They were charged with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony, and interference with official acts…a serious misdemeanor.
Mayefske was also charged with possession of methamphetamine…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of contraband…a class “D” felony.
Both men were booked into the Osceola county jail.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, the Arnolds Park and Worthington Police Departments and the Iowa State Patrol.
Authorities say their investigation continues.
