Death Of 18 Month Old Child Believed NOT To Be Suspicious

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– Authorities say the circumstances behind the death of an Arnolds Park child do not appear to be suspicious.

Arnolds Park Police Chief Al Krueger issued a statement this (Wed.) morning saying the department has confirmed the death of an 18-month-old child and that they believe it was the result of a medical condition.

Krueger added an investigation is continuing, involving his department, the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. But as of now, Krueger says they’re pursuing medical reasons as the cause.

No charges have been filed in the case.

The statement did not identify the child or its parents.
