(Worthington, Mn.)– A Worthington hospital has started building a new radiation oncology center.
The new facility at Worthington Regional Hospital has a price tag of more than five million dollars–over three million for the building and two million for equipment.
Hospital officials estimate there are about one thousand new cancer cases each year in southwest Minnesota, and half of those will require radiation therapy.
