(Spencer)– A weekend traffic stop has resulted in drug and traffic charges against a Primghar man.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation around 8:15 p.m. Saturday in the 4700 block of County Road M-27. An investigation determined the driver, 48-year-old Kent Marquardt of Primghar, had allegedly been operating the vehicle while intoxicated and had an open container of beer in the vehicle. A subsequent search turned up a black pouch containing three baggies of marijuana, tooters, and a marijuana pipe. Marquardt was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of operating while intoxicated…third offense; possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia and open container.
