(Emmetsburg)– A car stolen from Emmetsburg earlier this week has been recovered in central Minnesota.
Emmetsburg Police Chief Eric Hanson says a white 1996 Nissan Sentra was stolen Monday evening from the parking lot of Dublin’s Restaurant in Emmetsburg. The car has since been recovered in Stearns county, Minnesota–near St. Cloud.
Two boys–a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old–from Elmore, Minnesota are suspected to be the car thieves and have been taken into custody by law enforcement. They were in Emmetsburg for a junior varsity wrestling match Monday evening. They are accused of leaving the match and walking to Dublin’s where they found the car with the keys inside.
Charges against the teens are pending in both Minnesota and Iowa.
