(Spencer)– No injuries were reported early this (Wed.) morning when a man driving a jeep lost control and collided with the front entrance of the South Park Mall in Spencer.
Spencer police say Scott Butt of Spencer was travelling northeast through the mall parking lot about 2:00 a.m. when he lost control on the freshly fallen snow. The 1990 Jeep he was driving went up on the sidewalk and struck the front entrance of the mall, along with a trash container.
Damage to the mall was estimated at 3,500-dollars; damage to Butt’s Jeep was estimated about two thousand dollars.
No charges were filed in the mishap.
