(Spencer)– A traffic stop late Friday afternoon in Clay county has resulted in drug charges against two Spencer men.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy had pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 2900 block of County Road M-27. Upon investigating it was found that 26-year-old Justin Thomas and 34-year-old Brian Scott were allegedly in possession of a controlled substance…marijuana. The two were taken into custody and booked into the Clay county jail. Thomas was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and speeding. Scott was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.
