Stretch Of U.S. Hwy 18 Between Hartley & O’Brien-Clay County Line To Close Next Week For Re-Surfacing

(Hartley)– A stretch of Highway 18 between Hartley and the O’Brien-Clay county line will be closed to traffic starting next week.

The Iowa Department of Transportation’s Cherokee construction office says the closure will go into effect Wednesday, September 16^th and will continue through Thursday, October 1^st…weather permitting.

Officials say the highway will be closed in both directions for sealing and re-surfacing. Drivers will need to follow a marked detour using O’Brien County Roads M-12, B-20 and M-22. (See map below)
