Spirit Lake nuissance ordinance

The Spirit Lake city council has approved hiring a part-time assistant to help enforce the city’s nuissance ordinance. Code enforcer Paul Hughes says the bulk of complaints come to the city during the summer. Hughes reminds property owners their grass should not be taller than 6 inches. The other common complaint is property with junk cars.
