(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported this (Mon.) morning in a vehicle fire just north of the Iowa/Minnesota border. Spirit Lake Fire Chief Pat Daly…
“We got called about eight minutes after ten today to 47587 715th Street, it’s clear up in Jackson county, just past the Loon Lake Store. We had a vehicle on fire. It was fully involved when we got on scene.”
Daly says the cause is believed to have been a mechanical issue…
“We were looking at the engine compartment. She had been having trouble with the car and that’s where it looks like most of the damage was, is in the engine compartment.”
Daly says the vehicle was destroyed in the fire.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
