Spencer Police Investigate Rash Of Bike Thefts

(Spencer)– Spencer police are investigating another round of bike thefts.

A total of five bikes have been stolen in Spencer since last Thursday night.

Craig Cooley reported the theft of his 15-speed Roadmaster around 9:00 p.m. Thursday from the 10th block of East Fourth Street. Sharlene Dandy had her 26-inch Roadmaster stolen from the 200 block of East Fourth Street; and Kriss Garner of Spencer reported the theft of a girl’s bike from the 300 block of East Fouth Street Thursday.

Bryan Ibsen reported the theft of his GT Stunt Bike Friday night. His 150-dollar bike was stolen from a bike rack on the south side of the high school. And Andrew Selzer of Spencer had his red mountain bike stolen Saturday from an alley in the 600 block of Grand Boulevard.

Anyone with any information into any of the thefts should contact Spencer police.

Bike owners are reminded to keep their bikes locked at all times.
