A Spencer teenager was seriously injured after crashing a motorcycle northwest of Spencer last (tues) night.
According to the Clay County Sheriffs Office, 18 year old Christopher Wise of Spencer was eastbound on 320th Street when he lost control of a 2006 Honda Motorcycle. The bike struck a road-sign and drove into the north ditch.
Witnesses at the scene told deputies that Wise was traveling at speeds of over 100 miles-per-hour. Investigators found over 500 feet of skid marks at the scene.
Wise was taken to Spencer Hospital with multiple injuries, including major chest injuries. He has since been life-flighted to a larger hospital.
The bike, owned by Steven Clayton of Spencer, was totaled.
The investigation continues. No charges have been filed yet.
