(Spencer)– A Spencer man has been sentenced in U-S District Court to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a meth charge.
34-year-old Danny Belcher was charged with conspiring to distribute methamphetamine having been previously convicted of a felony drug offense.
Belcher was sentenced to 10 years in prison along with five years of supervised release following the prison term.
At a plea hearing Belcher admitted that between about May 1997 through October 24, 2003 he and others distributed methamphetamine in the Iowa Great Lakes and Spencer areas.
Belcher had been convicted on May 21st, 2001 in Clay County District Court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver…a class “C” felony.
