Southern Minnesota Collision Injures Algona Man

(Eagle Lake, Mn.)– An Algona man was injured when a vehicle he was driving collided with a semi in southern Minnesota late Tuesday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 25-year-old Zachary Hauptmann of Algona was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Highway 60 when he collided with the eastbound semi at an intersection.

Hauptmann was taken to a Mankato hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.

The collision took place a little before 4:00 pm Tuesday.
