(Des Moines)– A Spirit Lake businessman will play a role in the gubernatorial campaign.
Democrat Mike Blouin has released the names of his 252-member steering committee in his bid for the state’s top job.
It will be headed by Spirit Lake businessman Tom Bedell and Des Moines physician and insurance executive Andy McGuire. The list also includes 25 local elected officials and union leaders from all corners of the state.
Blouin is among six candidates seeking the Democratic nomination.
