(Sioux City)– A Sioux Rapids man has been sentenced in federal court on a methamphetamine charge.
41-year-old Todd Robert Pritchard pled guilty previously to one count of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine.
He was sentenced to 30 months in prison and five years supervised release. Pritchard was also ordered to pay a 100-dollar special assessment.
Court documents say between about 1999 and August 2000, Pritchard and others manufactured and distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. On August 30, 2000, a search warrant was executed on a Hartley residence that turned up a loaded .22 caliber revolver, scales, drug paraphernalia, ephedrine tablets and lithium batteries. Authorities also found receipts for pseudoephedrine, coffee filters, ether, starting fluid and drug notes, along with methamphetamine and marijuana.
Court documents stated that Pritchard was involved with another person in purchasing and using methamphetamine.
The case was investigated by the O’Brien and Clay county sheriff’s offices, Hartley Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
