Sibley Woman Pleads Guilty To Theft Charges

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A Sibley woman arrested last year on theft charges has now pleaded guilty.

30-year-old Tina Bugay has pleaded guilty to a charge of third degree theft. She was initially charged with second degree theft.

Bugay was arrested in December of last year following an investigation by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. The charge stems from lingerie parties she hosted at her home in August, September and October of last year. She has admitted to selling merchandise to the guests, but never turning the orders in to the company. She would then pocket the money and never give the buyer their clothing.

Bugay was sentenced to 180 days in the Osceola county jail with all but 170 days suspended. She was also ordered to pay a 500-dollar fine and was placed on two years probation.
