(Spirit Lake)– A Dickinson county grand jury has indicted a Sheldon man in connection with a motorcycle crash in June of last year that killed a teenager.
22-year-old Dustin Lokhorst has been charged with child endangerment in the crash that claimed the life of 13-year-old Anthony Vos of Sutherland. Vos was a passenger on the 2001 Suzuki motorcycle Lockhorst was operating.
Spirit Lake police say Lokhorst lost control of the motorcycle as he was northbound on 253rd Avenue south of 125th Street in Spirit Lake. The motorcycle left the road and struck a legally parked vehicle.
Lockhorst turned himself in Wednesday to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office. He’s being held in jail on bond of 34,600-dollars.
