Sheldon Man Charged In Vehicle Thefts

November 22, 2014

(Melvin)– A Sheldon man has been charged in connection with a motor vehicle accident in Osceola county that took place Christmas Eve.

The Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Andrew Ricker was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, operating while intoxicated, public intoxication and driving under suspension.

Authorities say it all stems from the theft of a 1989 Ford Ranger from a residence in Melvin. The vehicle was located south of Vine and 250th Street where it had struck the east side of the four-way bridge.

Bond for Ricker was set at 12-thousand dollars.
