Separate Mishaps On I-90 Result In Minor Injuries To Two People

November 22, 2014

(Worthington, Mn.)—Yesterday’s (Mon.) snow and slick roads caused problems for motorists throughout the region.

One problem spot was Interstate 90 where two separate mishaps sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the first one took place shortly after 5:00 p.m. about two miles west of Worthington in the westbound lanes. Authorities say 53-year-old Khamphiou Vilaisith of Luverne lost control of a 1990 Nissan Pathfinder that left the road and rolled.

Vilaisith was treated at the Worthington hospital for minor injuries and released. The vehicle was totaled.

The other took place shortly before 6:00 p.m. about a mile west of Jackson, also in the westbound lanes of I-90.

Authorities say 28-year-old Nikki Huff of Marshall lost control of a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder that left the road, went into the median and rolled.

Huff was taken to the Jackson Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries and released. The vehicle was totalled.
