(Spencer)– A semi crash in Clay county has claimed the life of a Sioux Falls man.
The Iowa State Patrol says 55-year-old Charles Sundermeyer of Sioux Falls was southbound on Highway 71 north of Greenville when he drifted into the west ditch, crossed over 420th Street, and entered a grove of trees.
Sundermeyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash took place around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The 2000 Ford semi is owned by Ford Motor Credit Company of Downers Grove, Illinois.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
