(Undated)– There will be only one contested race in next month’s school board elections in Dickinson county. It’s in the Terril district, where three people are running for two open seats. Incumbent Craig Von Ehwegen is running for re-election, along with Eugene Buhr and Tim Roth. The other incumbent, Jodi Oleson, didn’t file papers.
The Okoboji School Board will have a new face on it as well following next month’s election. Incumbent Mike Chozen isn’t seeking re-election. Laurie Simington was the only person to file.
Otherwise, incumbents will be running unopposed in other districts. In Spirit Lake, Julie Nodland and Scott Wicks are running unopposed for re-election and in the Harris-Lake Park District Incumbent Michael Bosma is unopposed.
Patrons in the Harris-Lake Park District will also vote on a proposal that would change how proceeds from the Local Option Sales Tax are spent.
The filing period for the September 12th school board elections recently expired.
