(Spirit Lake)– Charges have been filed against a rural Lake Park man in connection with a sex abuse investigation.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says 68-year-old Edward James Lock Senior has been charged with seven counts of second degree sexual abuse…class “B” felonies. Lock is accused of committing sexual abuse to a person or persons under the age of 12.
The DCI says its investigation was initiated earlier this month after being contacted by a protective services worker with the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Edward James Lock was taken into custody without incident October 13th in Spirit Lake. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail and has since been released after posting bond of 22,750-dollars. A preliminary hearing is set for 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3rd in Dickinson County District Court.
