(Hospers)– A pursuit that began early Friday morning near the intersection of Highway 60 and Sioux County Road B-40 on the east side of Hospers ended a short time later when deputies found the vehicle abandoned in a ditch just inside O’Brien county. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit tracked down the suspect driver about 3/8ths of a mile into a field.
The suspect, 25-year-old Brandi Thillen of LeMars was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated…sixth offense; failure to maintain control; eluding a law enforcement vehicle; careless driving and violating a one-way traffic designation.
Thillen was booked into the Sioux county jail.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Sheldon Police Department.
