(Spirit Lake)– If you thought road construction season was long over, think again. It may be late November, but the ongoing rennovation of Highways nine and 71 through Spirit Lake continues…and there will be a direct impact on motorists Tuesday (11/22).
Public Works Director Todd Dolphin says Highways nine and 71 between Keokuk and Jackson Avenues in Spirit Lake will be closed to traffic Tuesday (11/22) beginning at 8:00 a.m. The road closure is expected to last four to five hours.
Dolphin says crews will be removing some overhead power lines in that area to allow for the installation of new street lights.
Motorists will need to take an alternate route.
