(Okoboji)– It’s looking to be another busy season at The Pearson Lakes Art Center. Executive Director Bob Kirschbaum says they’re excited about the lineup…
“The summer season is going to be better than ever this year. And and for the entertainment in the theater, it’s an unbelievable lineup. Most of the shows are already sold out. So that’s one of the advantages of being a member. You get that first shot at it. We have added a couple shows, but some of the highlights again are the the Texas Tenors. We have Electric Light Orchestra coming. You know, I know we have some other bands that we haven’t had in the past. We have an ABBA tribute. We have a heart tribute, you know, the list goes on and on. Of course, the remarkable Marilyn Maye will be back again this summer.”
Celebrate the Arts is the kick off to the 2026 summer season and Kirschbaum says tickets are still available…
“Not too late to get your tickets for Celebrate the Arts, and that’s coming up Friday, June fifth. That’s a great way to support the arts, but it’s kind of like a homecoming for everybody. All our snowbirds are back in town. It’s the first big event of the summer, so don’t miss out on that. We’d love to have you there.”
Kirschbaum says there will be 7 new sculptures going up on the Outdoor Sculpture Trail to join the 23 permanent sculptures…
“On June eighteenth we have our new sculptures going up, and we’ll have an artist opening for the new sculptures. And again, whenever we have an artist opening, we have free food, free beverages. Usually the artist talks, but we’ll be talking about our new sculptures and some of the the artists will be here that are responsible for the sculptures.”
