(Sibley)– Narcotics investigations in Osceola county have resulted in the arrests of two people.
The Sheriff’s Office says the first arrest was made back on February 22nd when a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Ruby Higdon of Jackson. A deputy found a baggie containing what’s alleged to be marijuana on the ground near Higdon’s vehicle.
Higdon was charged with possession of marijuana…a serious misdemeanor. Higdon was released after posting a one thousand dollar bond.
The other arrest was made Thursday when a deputy pulled over a vehicle on Highway 60 driven by 40-year-old Steven Struse of Ankeny. Upon investigating, authorities learned Struse had been driving without a driver’s license.
A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a substance alleged to be marijuana. Struse was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor. He was also issued a citation for no valid driver’s license.
Struse was released after posting a 1,600-dollar bond.
