(Okoboji)– A two-vehicle accident this (Friday) afternoon in Okoboji sent one person to the hospital.
Okoboji police say vehicles driven by Jennifer Dungan of Spirit Lake and Terrence Kuchel of Arnolds Park collided at the intersection of 175th Street and 235th Avenue shortly before 2:00 p.m. Authorities say Dungan was eastbound on 175th Street and Kuchel was southbound on 235th Avenue.
Dungan was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with what was believed to be minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Kuchel was charged with failure to yield upon entering a through highway; Dungan was cited for no proof of insurance.
3,500-dollars in damage was estimated to a 2004 Toyota pickup driven by Kuchel; a 1997 Dodge driven by Dungan sustained an estimated 2,500-dollars in damage.
The Okoboji Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park and Spirit Lake Police Departments; Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire and Rescue and Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance.
