(Spirit Lake)– An Okoboji woman has been charged with illegally obtaining prescription drugs and attempting obtain more.
The Spirit Lake Police Department was called to Lewis Family Drug around Noon Monday where 21-year-old Brea Ann Tschopp was allegedly trying to get prescription drugs.
Police Chief Jeff Hansen says an investigation revealed Tschopp obtained drugs illegally last Thursday and had allegedly attempted to get forged prescriptions filled at Lewis Family Drug, the Hy-Vee Pharmacy and Wal-Mart Pharmacy between October 20th and 24th.
Okoboji police assisted Spirit Lake police in executing a search warrant on Tschopp’s residence in Okoboji where further evidence was obtained.
Tschopp has been charged with two counts of prohibited acts…class “C” felonies; and one count of forgery…a class “D” felony.
