Trailing by 16 at halftime, the Okoboji girls basketball opened the third quarter on a 9-0 run, but late three-pointers by Central Lyon propelled the Lions to a 51-36 victory over the Pioneers in the Siouxland Conference last night. Skylar Hanson and Mikkinzie Peschong finished with seven points a piece for Okoboji, with Hansen also grabbing a game-high eleven rebounds. For the game, the Pioneers shot 27-percent from the floor, including numerous misses from inside the lane. Okoboji will take its 1-5 conference record to Rock Valley tonight.
