A former city clerk in Ocheyden is accused of improperly transfierring thousands of dollars from city accounts, including charges to the city’s credit card and checks she wrote to herself. Stacy Terrill was responsible for signing payroll checks and billing residents for utilities. She resigned from the position in December after the city discovered its credit card has an overdue balance. State Auditor David Vaudt released an investigative report this week that says Terrill made more than 96 hundrfed dollars in improper payments from city accounts between January 2004 and December 2005. The audit also found she had decreased her own utility bill and 116 dollars. Vaudt’s office forwarded copies of the report to authorities, who have not yet filed charges.
