O’Brien County Authorities Investigate Death Of Archer Man

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– An Archer man is dead after apparently being struck by a vehicle in O’Brien county.

O’Brien County Sheriff Mike Anderson tells KUOO news his office received a 911 call shortly after 2:00 a.m. Sunday reporting a fatality in the 5400-mile of 340th Street in O’Brien county. Anderson says a 20-year-old pedestrian, identified as Jason Michael LaPaige of Archer, appeared to have been struck by a motor vehicle. LaPaige was later pronounced dead by the O’Brien County Medical Examiner.

Anderson says the incident remains under investigation by his office, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Iowa State Patrol. The Sanborn Police Department also assisted on the scene.
