(Devils Lake, N.D.)– Authorities say a Devils Lake, North Dakota couple are accused of setting a home on fire in southwest Minnesota.
38-year-old Theodore Devine and his 36-year-old wife, Lynn, deny the charges.
Cottonwood County, Minnesota Attorney Nick Anderson says the home in Mountain Lake burned in January, 2005. The complaint against the couple says debts, including lagging child support payments, were motive for arson.
The Devines say they objected to the demolition of the home, and they want the charges dismissed. Anderson says the city demolished it with the couple’s permission.
