(Emmetsburg)– A Pocahontas man faces multiple charges in an investigation involving law enforcement agencies from eight different counties in the region involving the theft of some livestock.
Authorities say 26-year-old Corey Goeders was arrested this past Friday on a valid Palo Alto county warrant stemming from the investigation that began in April of last year. It stems from incidents alleged to have taken place between June 2023 and February of this year.
Goeders was charged with ongoing criminal conduct…a class “B” felony; money laundering…a class “C” felony; tax evasion…a class “D” felony; seven counts of 1st degree theft…a class “C” felony; nine counts of 2nd degree theft…a class “D” felony and one count of 4th degree theft…a serious misdemeanor. He was booked into jail but has since been released after posting bond.
The investigation involved sheriff’s offices in Kossuth, Buena Vista, Calhoun, Clay, Pocahontas, Webster and Woodbury counties along with the Iowa Department of Public Safety and the Iowa Department of Revenue.
