(Spirit Lake)– A woman found guilty in the death of Angel Bastman of Lake Park is dropping the appeal of her conviction. An attorney for Allison Decker has been quoted as saying they instead are planning to ask for a new trial siting ineffective legal counsel during her trial in 2022.
Justice Berntson, another defendant in the case, pled guilty to attempted murder in exchange for testifying against Decker.
