(Spirit Lake)– A Milford woman sustained minor injuries Tuesday evening when a van she was driving was struck by a motorcycle on Highways Nine and 71 in front of Jennings Auto Parts in Spirit Lake.
Police say 20-year-old Karl Buggert of Spirit Lake was driving a 1986 Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with the rear of a 2004 Windstar van driven by 30-year-old Dena Adams of Milford. Officers say Adams was attempting to turn left when Buggert collided with the rear of her vehicle.
Adams was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake complaining of possible injuries; Buggert complained of possible injuries but wasn’t transported.
Two-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the motorcycle driven by Buggert with 500-dollars in damage estimated to the van driven by Adams.
Buggert was charged with failure to have a valid driver’s license.
The mishap was reported around 6:18 p.m.
