(Spencer)– A three-vehicle collision in Spencer Monday sent two people to the Emergency Room.
Spencer police say vehicles driven by Timothy Nissen of Spencer, Sorena Perrill of Peterson and Alice Holck of Spencer were all northbound in the outside lane in the 300 block of South Grand Avenue. Authorities say the vehicle driven by Nissen collided with the rear of the one driven by Perrill, forcing the Perrill vehicle into the rear of the one driven by Holck.
Perrill and Holck were taken to Spencer Hospital with minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Nissen.
Nissen told police he turned his head for a moment to look at a kid on a bicycle and that when he looked forward again all he could see was brake lights and that he didn’t have time to stop. Nissen was charged with failure to have control.
Four thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1995 Chevrolet driven by Nissen; a 1997 Toyota driven by Perrill sustained an estimated 2,500-dollars in damage; and damage to a 2002 Toyota driven by Holck was estimated at 2,500-dollars.
The mishap took place shortly after 5:00 p.m.
