(Orleans)– A Truman, Minnesota man was seriously injured Tuesday in Orleans when a piece of road construction equipment ran over his leg.
Spirit Lake police say 31-year-old Veronica Setser of Moorehead, Iowa was operating a Cat paver owned by Tri-State Paving. Officers say 22-year-old Brady Ekstrom of Truman, Minnesota was standing near the machine kicking some dirt off the road when Setser accidentally collided with him. The machine rolled over Ekstrom’s leg, breaking it. Ekstrom was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare.
The mishap took place around 5:00 p.m. on 140th Street in Orleans, which is being re-surfaced.
