Up north in Minnesota it was the opening night of the high school football playoffs on Tuesday, and Jackson County Central blew past St. James, 48-0, in the first round of the Class AA postseason. The Huskies advance to play Windom, which won its game against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, 21-0. In the Class AAA bracket, Fairmont handled its business against Redwood Valley to the tune of a 35-7 victory, advancing to play Glencoe-Silver Lake. The second round will be played Saturday afternoon at 3pm.
