Milford Council Reinstates Clean-up Days With Major Changes

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– The Milford city council voted unanimously Monday evening to reinstate clean-up days…with some changes. For example, items must be placed in boxes or clear bags. No hazardous materials will be picked up. Appliances and items such as old computers must have tags on them which can be purchased at city hall.

Clean-up days will be held May 3rd and 4th. Items must be on the curb no later than May 2nd. Items put out before that will NOT be picked up. Anything put out after May 5th will have to be properly disposed of by the property owner.

Clean-up days had been discontinued by a previous city council due to problems in the past…mainly with junk being transferred from one person’s yard to another. Some were stuck getting rid of things that didn’t belong to them that required tags.
