Meth Dump Found Near Fostoria

November 22, 2014

(Fostoria)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person or persons who dumped a meth lab on private property near Fostoria.

Sheriff Randy Krukow says his office was contacted Monday afternoon by a landowner northwest of Fostoria who discovered a possible meth lab on his property. Once they confirmed it was indeed, a meth lab dumpsite, deputies secured the area and called in the meth lab cleanup officers with the State Fire Marshall’s Office. Evidence was collected at the scene and sent to the Iowa DCI Crime Lab for testing.

Sheriff Krukow says they’re working with other law enforcement agencies and members of the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force to find those responsible.

Anyone with information should contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
