(Okoboji)– Parks Marina teamed up with Barletta Boats this June for Props, Paws & Poker, a charity poker run benefiting the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa. Boat, pet and poker fans in the Iowa Great Lakes gathered for an afternoon of fun as they made stops at Lakes area businesses and returned to the Marina to play their hands.
With combined funds from the Poker Run and generous raffle donations from Doll Distributing, the event raised over $700 for the Humane Society.
“It is so exciting to see the community come together to help support our local humane society,” says Debbie Parks, Owner of Parks Marina, “It’s an organization loved by so many and we’re thrilled to help out any way we can.”
