(Arnolds Park)– Here’s a sign spring can’t be too far away. The Lakes Area Sunrise Kiwanis Club is once again holding its annual “car drop” contest on West Lake Okoboji. The person who guesses the closest as to when the shelled-out 1988 Oldsmobile Delta goes through the ice is the winner.
Joe Estes of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club says this marks the fifth year for the contest. Tickets are available at First Bank and Trust, The State Bank, Northwest Federal Savings and Loan and Landmark Products. Tickets are on sale only until March 1st.
Proceeds go to support the various projects the Sunrise Kiwanis puts on each year.
It was March 10th last year when the car went through.
