Juvenile Charged In Altercation At Spencer Wal-Mart

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Spencer police have arrested a local teen on accusations he held a knife to another boy’s throat during an argument Saturday evening.

Authorities say 17-year-old Brady Shuck of Spencer has been charged with assault with intent to commit serious bodily injury, simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers were called to the Spencer Wal-Mart around 9:00 p.m. Saturday to break up a fight between several juveniles. Officers arrived to find Wal-Mart employees and an off-duty Emmetsburg police officer had already subdued Shuck.

According to witnesses, a confrontation had broken out between Shuck and a 16-year-old boy. Shuck is accused of taking an edged weapon, similar to a box cutter, and holding it to the throat of the 16-year-old.

Shuck is also accused of striking a Wal-Mart employee during the incident.

Shuck was taken to the Youth Detention Center in Cherokee pending a future court date.
