Iowa State basketball coach Fred Hoiberg says prep forward Calvin Godfrey has signed to play for the Cyclones. Godfrey, who is from Robbinsdale, Minn., is 6-foot-8 and 240
pounds. He averaged 18.6 points and nearly 11 rebounds a game last season. Hoiberg says he anticipates Godfrey will earn immediate playing time, adding that he has a high level of strength and athleticism. Godfrey is the fifth member of the Cyclones’ latest recruiting class. He signed his national letter of intent during a ceremony at his high school Wednesday.
